Terms of Service
These terms apply to your use of jdrplumbingsg.com (the “website”) and to plumbing services provided by JDR Plumbing Pte Ltd (“JDR Plumbing”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or booking our services, you agree to them.
1. About the website
The website is for general information about our services. We take care to keep it accurate, but we do not promise that everything on it is complete or up to date, and information on it does not form a binding quotation or contract by itself.
2. Booking and quotations
- Requests made by phone, WhatsApp or email are invitations for us to provide a service; a booking is confirmed when we agree a time and scope with you.
- Any price given before we see the problem is an estimate. The final price depends on what our technician finds on site, and we will tell you about any change to the scope or price before carrying out additional work.
- Arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather and the volume of urgent calls can affect them, and we will keep you informed if we are delayed.
3. Emergency and after-hours service
We offer 24-hour service, subject to technician availability. Emergency, night-time, weekend and public holiday callouts may be charged at a different rate from normal hours, which we will tell you before we start.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about the problem and the property.
- Make sure we can safely access the work area, and that you are authorised to arrange work at the property (for example, tenants may need the owner’s or management’s permission).
- Tell us about anything that could affect safety, such as electrical hazards near water or existing damage.
- Pay for the work as agreed once it is completed, unless we have agreed other payment terms in writing.
5. Workmanship, parts and warranty
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. Where we supply parts or equipment such as water heaters, they carry the manufacturer’s warranty, if any. We will tell you if we give any warranty on our own workmanship and its terms. Recurring problems such as choked drains are often caused by what goes down the pipe, so we cannot warrant that a blockage will not return.
6. Cancellations
Please let us know as early as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. If our technician has already been dispatched or has arrived, we may charge a reasonable callout or attendance fee.
7. Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, income or opportunity;
- we are not liable for damage caused by a pre-existing defect or condition that we could not reasonably have discovered, or by information or instructions you gave us that were incomplete or wrong;
- our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
8. Website use and intellectual property
The text, design, logo and photographs on the website belong to JDR Plumbing or are used with permission. You may view the website for your own use, but you may not copy, reproduce or reuse its content for commercial purposes without our written permission. You must not misuse the website or try to interfere with its operation.
9. Third-party services
The website links to third-party services such as WhatsApp and uses services such as Google Fonts. We are not responsible for those services or their terms and privacy practices.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies when you use the website or book a job.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
